Reading Camp for K-1

Dates: July 27-30 Time: 9a-1p, M-TH

This year, we are limiting this camp to 6 students. This will allow for extensive 1:1 literacy individualized instructional time.

This camp is for students entering kindergarten and 1st grade only.

This reading camp focuses on core literacy skills like decoding (phonics, phonemic awareness), fluency (smooth reading), vocabulary, and comprehension (main idea, details, inferences).

Schedule:

8:45a-9a: Arrival Time

9a-11a: Individualized reading time and literacy centers

11:a-11:45a: Lunch

11:45a-12:15p: Outdoor play

12:15p-12:55p: Whole group literacy lesson
